Etiquette Lesson #21

See this?

When you move this something magical happens.

This....A light goes on outside your car and lets people know which way you are going to turn!!

Crazy I know, but it is proper road etiquette to use this magical lever.

You need to use this not only on the road but in parking lots as well. It can be a bit tricky though because sometimes when you use it you can forget to turn it off and that is just as bad as not using it at all.

Try to remember use it but don't abuse it.

When people don't use their signals, my dad always says that "blinkers must have been one of those optional features with that car." Makes me laugh.

Can you spread the word all over the place, especially to my town and to my street so I know when people are turning into their driveways?

Yay, I soooo agree! Nothing like seeing people celebrate their lane change a mile back by still signaling on the interstate. And just as sinful...not using the magical lever, as if we're all telepathic...ARGH! ;)

I really think they should start teaching this in driver's ed.

Very, very true. Whenever someone leaves their blinker on, I just want to drive in front of them and turn mine on so that they realize what they are doing. What a pet peeve.

SO TRUE!! I love this post!!

Oh, so that's what blinkers are for?? I thought it was to light up the back end of my car. Weird.

Just kidding! That's a total peeve of mine too!

Fun blog.

Its such an easy concept, I just don't know why some people can't grasp it!

I'm convinced that feature is optional. Especially in the newer, more expensive models.

My hubby got a bumper sticker for his birthday, saying, "I am old, that is my excuse for leaving my blinker on" or something to that effect. I am always yelling at him to turn it on. Drives me crazy.

HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!

I might print this off, translate it, and put it on a billboard on top of my car.

So simple, and yet so hard ...

A very good lesson, I have to say.

OMG I get so annoyed when people dont use their blinkers and just yesterday I was behind a police officer and Ill be damn he didnt use his blinker when he turned...now if I had done that you know he would of been turning on those lights and making that siren go off just to give me a ticket or a warning or something!!!11
