Etiquette Lesson #12

See these things?
They DO NOT go in the middle of this....
I know that this is a difficult concept for some people to grasp but when you are shopping there are other people around you that are shopping as well. Isn't that strange?

You don't own the aisle that you are going down. And you are not alone in the store.

You need to be aware of others around you who may be trying to get by you. It is proper store etiquette to move your cart to one side of the aisle or the other.

Please remember this next time you grab a cart and go down the isles of Wally World.

Number one mistake. Shopping at Walmart. :)

Walmart is the WORST for that. Even when people see you, they don't move. I have personally moved peoples carts before. I shouldn't have to turn around just because they are a moron.

This is one of my BIGGEST pet peeves. I always leave the store in an uproar about some stupid person that can't drive a shopping cart!!

It seems like there will be no one in the entire isle... except right in front of where I need to be. And they're not moving.
Stupid Walmart.

I have intentionally run into the carts of idiots who do this. Just to try and jolt them out of their stupor and get them to move. Doesn't even phase them. Sometimes, I wish I could be a blissfully unaware boob. At least I would leave the store in a good mood instead of a murderous rage.

Isn't it amazing how many people are completely unaware of themselves at the store? Have you noticed the way people "drive" their carts? LIke, pulling out in front of you from a side aisle while you're in the main aisle? and making "illegal turns?" I know they're just carts, but if people drove cars with those same rules, they'd cause accidents right and left! It's like they get behind a cart and all rules of driving (and common sense) go out the window!

Cute post...so true.
So how do handle crowds at say, Disneyland?

May I just add a little pet peeve of my own? Take the stinkin' cart to it's nice little parking space of it's own when you're done with it. If I can manage to do so, while at the store with 3 kids 3 and under, you can too... :) Thanks, I feel so much better!

It's amazing how oblivious some people can be and not seem to notice that they're not the only ones in the world. The random carts in the parking lot drive me crazy too.

They also don't belong in the middle of the parking lot. While in college, my husband had a job cleaning up that carts a Wal-Mart. He HATED it when people just left their carts rolling around the parking lot.

A fun game is to take a cart that someone has abandoned in the middle of the aisle to go and find something three aisles over and push said cart into a whole other area so they can't find it. hee hee

Seriously! And you notice it happens at Wally world more than any other place? Mmmmm, I wonder....

I really am sorry! I didn't mean to leave my cart in the middle of the isle and then blockade you as you tried to pass...but on second thought, I will probably do it again.

hahaha...no I totally agree.

I have to admit that I am a guilty party sometimes. And I also have to admit that I'd much rather shop at the store with those fun and colorful carts than at Walmart any day of the week!

WalMart is the worst for EVERYTHING.

If you need an example of something being done poorly you will find it at WalMart.

I feel so bad if someone has to say excuse me to me because I am drifting aimlessly and have forgotten to be polite. I try, I really do!
