Etiquette Lesson #1

When someone does this to you?
It's generally good etiquette to return the smile and not look at them like they have three heads or scowl at them. I do realize that we all have our bad days and sometimes do NOT feel like smiling back. But when someone smiles at you at least give a half-hearted attempt at a smile back.

Stay tuned for more etiquette lessons.

Don't worry, if you ever smile at me, I promise I will smile back. And, in fact, if anyone smiles at me, I smile back. I am a good girl.

How could someone not smile back at you?

I don't know Lara! I mean I know there are times when I'm in a pissy mood or whatever but if someone smiles at me you can be sure I smile back. Or at least try to. But it seems to happen quite a bit around here. When I smile at someone they either ignore me or look at me like I'm crazy.

Gosh, I smiled back at the picture too. What is wrong with some people? Thanks for the lesson!

You shared that sweet smile with someone and they didn't return the favor? Shame on them!

Great lesson!!! Too bad more people don't read your blog. When are you going to post etiquette lessons for 3 year olds so I do not have to run out of store when my son says to a lady, "mom, she stinks and is fat"!! (true story)

I agree. Why do some people actually scowl back when you smile at them, I don't get it.
