She Didn't Get Detention

When I went to pick up j from her first day of school I gave her a big hug and asked her how it went. Her reply "I didn't get sent to detention." I guess that's a good day at school when you don't get sent to detention.

As I posted a while back we had the kids switch rooms. Well the girls room is finally finito. The boys room is really close to being done I just need stars for the flag and material for the blind and the closet doors.

Anyway, here are the before and after pics. Actually it's just a set of before pictures and a video of the room how it looks now. I am very happy how it turned out. I would have LOVED a room like this growing up. My mom says it "Looks like and Easter egg." Which is true but my girls love it and that's all that matters.

So here we go.. This is actually an older picture of the room but it shows basically the colors and what it looked like. I had taken the bunk beds apart and they had two desks in there as well as a dresser and two large bookcases. It was pretty crowded.

And here is what it looks like now....

That looks SO good, S! And so much painting - God bless you and all that painting. LOL It's always so much more than it looks like it will be - and that looks like a lot so I can't imagine how much time that took. Nice job, Momma - I bet they DO love it. :)

I love the way you had to fuss around the auto aperature thing in your camera. The girls' room looks great and I very much enjoyed the guided tour. More videos!

Oh my goodness, it is WONDERFUL! I want to move in. Or better yet, can I please pretty please fly you over here to do our rooms? PLEEEEAAAASE??? hehe

I'm going to copy some of that. What a GREAT idea, putting the shelf over the closet. And R has a huge closet that takes up her whole wall, and the doors are mirrored. I hate them but she (*cough* drama queen*cough*) loves the mirrors. I could cover them up with a pretty sheet of some sort. I'll bet it would also cut out some of the echo in her room.

Excellent job. Just beautiful. How soon do we get to see the boys' room?
