Coraline

Coraline was a quick read. A great Halloween story. It would make a great ghost story around the fire. They are making it into a movie that comes out next year and you can bet I'll go and see it. It looks really good.

Here's a trailer for it.

Enjoy!

I've never even heard of this book. I'm not a big fan of this kind of animation, but my husband likes it, so who knows?

ok, I want to borrow some of the books from you if you still have them...this one and that Edgar one. by the way, isn't the name edgar kind of ogre-ish? I definately don't like ogres.

Wendy, the basic premise of the book is that this little girl finds a door to another world that is like hers but "better" in some ways. The world is created by the "other mother" to entice Coraline to stay with her. The other mother turns out to be very evil. The book is about how Coraline must escape this other world, save herself and others who have been trapped there by this other mother or the beldam. It's very good.
