Thankful Thursday

I haven't done this in a while and I really need to...
  • I'm Thankful that when the Red Wagon came back with the diagnosis "leaking from the head gasket" (and it also needs new tires and some work done on the blinkers) that we still had the Durango sitting in the driveway.
  • For neighbors with large gas cans who are willing to share.
  • That I have an awesome brother-in-law and nephew who took that Durango that had been sitting silent for almost two years, and cleaned it all up (including a mouse nest in the air filter) and got it running again.
  • I'm Thankful that when said Durango decided to die on me just after I got it all licensed and registered, that it died at a stop light close to home and not on the freeway where I had been driving.
  • For good Samaritans who helped me push that monster off of the highway and into a nearby parking lot.
  • And again I'm thankful for the AWESOME brother-in-law who came to my rescue, called me a tow truck and had a friend look at it.
  • I'm thankful that it wasn't the fuel filter or the fuel pump, both of which are in the gas tank, but only a loose wire and that said brother-in-law said that there was no charge.
  • I'm thankful for a seven year old who has decided against going into the WWE and wants to follow her dream of being a Rock Star instead.
  • I'm thankful that my 15 year old is willing to come and talk to me about his concerns.
  • For Good Books.
  • For a niece who will go walking with me and listen to me natter on and on.
  • And last but definitely not least, I'm thankful for a husband who doesn't leave giving "the talk" to our kids up to me alone and is willing to make it a joint effort. After all we made the kid together.

What are you thankful for today??

I can tell you I am NOT thankful for this crappy, snowy weather. But I am thankful that it's almost Friday!

Great thankful list. Could you and your husband come give my kids the talk now?

I'm thankful that I don't have kids that I have to give "the talk" to. Yet.

I'm thankful that I have friends who have had to give the talk, so they can give me advice when I have to give it to my kids...any advice? I'm also thankful for friends who use the word natter, it makes me laugh!

Sorry about trouble with the Durango, but it really does sound like it worked out about as good as it could.

I was trying to read while scrolling the page down and I thought your one bullet said "For nice boobs" !! It made me laugh. Too bad it really said "books."

Ha ha! "The Talk" oh for fun!

Boo on the Durango...but I know how you feel sista! And good on ya for being thankful through it all! That's the way to go for sure.

As for the robin's egg blue frames, they are still sitting in a pile in my office! Sooo bad, I know! I have been hunting for some oval frames to spray BEFORE hanging everything on the wall...I just found a few today (woo-hoo!) so you should see a post sooner rather than later and definitely before the bay-buh gets here since I fully intend to take advantage of all of these overwhelmingly "nesty" feelings!

What a nice list..... I totally had to do the talk all by myself. I hold it over his head ALL THE TIME!

THE TALK....oh. I don't wanna.

Stupid cars. I hope you have no more problems.

Car problems ---MISERABLE. I just spent $2200 on transmission work. not, fun.
but yes, for sure I'd be thankful for friends who help out.

the "talk"....My dad gave me the talk. Mom was too embarrassed. And she even made her sisters (my 2 aunts) talk to me about menstration.(dumb word eh) when I was young.

Interesting however, people talk to you about your coming "periods", sex, and all that goes with it, but No One sits and talks to you about Menopause.
Hmmmmm

I am thankful my kids "made it through" those talks.
