i have a bad habit of not cleaning very often here because:a) they aren't my appliances, really.b) they're extremely old appliances.and c) I'm living with three other adults and NOBODY ELSE EVER CLEANS THEM.I cleaned the oven once, inside and out. I clean out the microwave often. I usually get the old food out of the fridge every Monday so it only sits in the garbage until Tuesday, when the trash collectors come. I used to clean it big time, but my brothers-in-law have had the same food in the fridge since before we moved here and I'm sick of gagging while cleaning out their moldy messes. I'd like to believe that, if they were entirely mine, they'd be a lot cleaner.
I use to be a LOT better and do it more often! But now I have teenagers and I am stressed! This post reminds me... it is time to get to cleaning! Thanks :)
Really?! Like once a year. I am horrible I know!! I do clean the microwave more often and my oven needs to be done REALLY bad--guess I better get on that. Oh wait--maybe I should wait until it is warm enough that I can open all of the door and windows in the house!!
Not often enough! Although I did just clean the sides this week! Ewww, now I need to do under. I'm scared to think what's lurking there ;0). It was fun to meet you at the bloggy lunch! Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog! Have a wonderful day. (P.S. I like the word verification "caress"--don't we all need a little "caress?")
You have to clean your appliances???? I'm lucky just to get the bathrooms cleaned once a week!!! ;)
Ugh. I don't think I want to admit. Outside is the most likely to get cleaned. Inside the microwave gets cleaned, though not enough. Underneath? When I move. Unless it's on a counter top, then it gets cleaned every month, if I'm good.I suck at cleaning.
Not nearly as often as I should.
My refridgerator once a month, microwave weekly, and oven....I can't remember, when ever I think of doing it I get pregnant so I can't do it, I mean I don't get pregnant so I don't have to do it, I mean I just can't while I'm pregnant! That reminds me IT REALLY NEEDS TO BE DONE!! I'll have to add that to my to do list for Saturday! Cause we all know Saturday is a special day!!
The goal is monthly. The reality is quarterly.
I love that the norm for appliances in Texas is built-in's so really I can not move my oven from the wall to clean the sides and underneath, same with the cooktop (thankfully it's a sealed unit very easy to clean!) The dishwasher cleans itself and I refuse to move it to look behind/underneath. The microwave gets cleaned weekly. Now if I just had a fairy who cleaned floors...I have no carpet, only sweepable/moppable floors and I hate mopping!
Outside? A couple times a week. Inside? Fridge and microwave, about once a month, the stove? not often enough!!
Outside? All the time. We have a lot of dust here.Inside? Before Thanksgiving dinner or anytime my MIL will be here and she'll see the inside.Underneath? You're supposed to clean underneath? Umm...maybe if we're moving and we're taking them with us. I so need a maid.
Why? Is someone coming over? Has someone turned me in to the clean police! Tell me! LOL
MIssy is cracking me up!outside in the kitchen about once a week, just a quick go over...
Every couple of months. I hate cleaning out the oven so it's probably less.
My husband cleaned under my stove and fridge once. A long time ago.I think about it sometimes...
ummm, of course I do, everyday with a toothbrush! hahahahaha
Probably not as often as I should. I love what Missy said. More likely to happen if someone is coming over!
I wipe down the inside of the door of the dishwasher often because it grosses me out. You know the part that is on the seal? I also wipe out the microwave on a regular basis. I clean the oven when it smokes (although it's self cleaning) and the fridge when it's gross.
Inside - once a month. Outside- once a week Underneath- I take the fifth.
If the cleaning police saw the inside of my stove I would be in a firing line tomorrow! My other stuff, when I can't stand the dirt anymore. Under my stove is cleaner than in my oven, that is just wrong!
