That's a really tough one. it happens to me all the time though. I know it sounds really silly but it's true, go tanning. in the newspaper last week it said 80% of American's are vitamin D deficient, which just aint good and it becomes more prevalent in the winter. Tanning helps restore some of it along with making you feel better about how you look. just a thought.
Oooh, a funk. It's the time of year for funks, I think, bc we all miss the sun. When I'm in a funk (if I can get myself moving, which is the hard part), I like to clean and run. Other stuff (food and shopping) work short-term but then I feel chubby and poor after, thus deepening the funk later. But a clean room and/or a post-workout rush is empowering.
Also, new makeup works wonders, even if it's just a cheapo lip gloss or something.
I hang out with you at a "swingers" party!!!! That did make me laugh a lot, but honestly I dive into the scriptures and let Scott know I am having a hard time. I also get my hair done.
I really find that this time of year is the time for funks!! I normally try to do something nice for myself, like Kristina suggested, but it always seems like someone else's kindness/thoughtful acts seem to bring me out!
this sounds totally cliche but you know me well :O) I have been self talking, out loud... reminding myself that everything is temporary and then saying someting along the lines of " life is just a test, this is only a test, in the event this were the real thing, ....." and then finish it with some crazy thought LOL
{{{hugs{}}}} my word verification is KLATENA just adopt that as your personal montra, something Africans that means " do'nt worry be happy" LMBO
I take a break from whatever it is that is stressing me out. If it's the kids I try and go get a pedi or go grocery shopping by myself. I try to figure out what's getting me down with some quiet, alone time.

I like to do something nice for myself. Get a pedicure, buy a new top, etc.

Also, I'll tell a friend I need a pep talk.
Do you need a pep talk? :)
I am a funk! Hah!
It's harder and harder to pull myself out of funks. Maybe it's the season. Maybe it's my age.

I watch BBC?Jane Austen movies!
I work out, take a long bath, read a book, or go shopping. I love to do anything crafty too which puts me in a good mood.
(Sorry about the delete)
...love to go on a walk and then make grasshopper milkshakes!

Man, that's hard isn't it? Cookies always help, but they don't help after you've gained the weight! I hope things are a little better today.
I work out. I dance.
I DO NOT eat. Solving problems with food doesn't work for me.

Usually I cry to let it out, pray to release it, and then sleep.
