I'm not turning gray, I'm going Platinum!

Actual conversation at my house.

Jilli: "Mom you have silver in your hair!"

Me: "I know."

Jilli: "How did it get there?"

Me: "Go talk to Grandma Norma about that."

That is so funny! Just last night we had a similar conversation! In fact all my kids just HAD to see the white hairs on my head. Then they wanted to see daddy's but he told them he didn't have any, LIAR! His are just harder to see since his hair is so short! Plus my hair is darker and longer so it really stands out! At least my kids thought it was cool that I have silver hairs!!

I had only ever found two gray hairs in my head until this last couple months and they're springing up everywhere! And my hair is so dark that it's super obvious.

I like your answer to your kids. Go talk to Grandma. :)

Hahahaha!! I have been dying my hair for years. My mom was prematurely gray and so was her mom and apparently so was I.

Platinum - I like that. I had my first gray hair when I was 21.

I think my mom started going gray around 40. I haven't noticed anything on my head yet, but I have a little more time before I'm 40.

Don't you just love it? And it's thick and wiry, right?

Couldn't you always just quote the song, "Silver and Gold" to them?

Tell them that they were out of the gold.
