Ponderings from this mornings walk

This is where I spent most of my walk this morning. It's a lovely walk with water in the canal and the breeze blowing. Some things that went through my mind as I strolled along.
  • I don't like walking underneath power lines where I can actually hear the electricity going through the lines. They freak me right out. I can't imagine living next to them.
  • I love the not only the sights of Spring but the sounds of Spring as well. The birds singing, dogs barking, bees buzzing, kids playing and laughing. Some of the best sounds in the world.
  • I really dislike diesel powered vehicles. I realize that people love them and love to drive them. I really do not like the smell of diesel fuel. It makes me ill. Plus they are usually really loud.
  • The double yellow lines on the road look orange to me. So do school buses. But everyone calls them yellow.
  • Lilacs, especially heirloom Lilacs, have one of the best smells on God's green earth.
  • And finally as I was walking along this lovely gravel road I came upon this cool little niche. I fell in love with it. I love the style and the fact that it's pretty secluded but you can still say hello to the travelers on the canal road.
So if you are the people who have created this amazing spot and by some weird twist of fate you read my blog I'd love to come and hang out with you. I could bring some peeps we could roast them over a fire in that fire pit. I could even bring some yummy smoked sausages. And stuff for smores. Email me. We'll talk.

My mom and grandma had lilac bushes when I was a child. I have such fond memories of them. I don't have one of my own right now, but I will someday.

That spot does look so serene and just...sweet I guess is the word I'm looking for. I would love to spend some time there too.

I SO love the smell of lilacs, too. My mom has a huge lilac bush and I'm hoping that it's blooming when I go home this coming weekend.

I'm proud of you for walking/exercising.

What a wonderful walking spot. And the patio is a wonderful watching spot.

I think the yellow lines and school buses are marigold. Kind of orange and kind of yellow.

Ooh, I love that little spot, too. So cute and cozy looking. :)

I like the look of lilacs (we have a few bushes in the yard), but not a fan of the smell. They are lovely blooms, though.

You HAVE to tell us if the owners of this spot e-mail you. You are right. It is absolutely the best place to roast marshmallows.

However, I had to laugh at the vision of you standing on the side of the road taking these pictures. Hopefully, the owners aren't scared off. (j/k) :)

I think buses and the lines are pretty orange too. They don't look very yellow to me. I love the red chairs too!

So, I live next to power lines like that. They buzz, really loud. Even louder when it's raining.

Pedaling said...

power lines that make buzzing sounds = cancer. i think.

if i owned that little nook along your walk, i would so be contacting you for a little hang out.

I love the same things when I am walking! You would make an awesome walking buddy.
