A couple of options if you didn't get tickets to Twilight or just didn't want to.

So the Twilight movie opened today. I'm going on Wednesday night with a bunch of family members. It should be fun. Brittany did a blog similar to this one. You can go there for more ideas. My list is a short one and they are older movies.

Generally I am not a fan of old movies. I have to be in a certain mood to watch them. Otherwise I spend the movie rolling my eyes and thinking how hokey the whole thing is.

The other morning though I stumbled upon a gem that was playing on AMC. Pillow Talk. Seriously this is an adorable movie. Doris Day. What a voice she has. If you haven't seen this movie run to the store and rent it.

When I was younger my mom introduced me to musicals and I fell in love. Although, like I stated above, I do have to be in a certain mood to watch them. My all time favorite musical? The King and I. I love Yule Brenner as the King of Siam. Shall we dance?

I also enjoy Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Those Sobbin' Women? That and the barn raising scene? How could you not love this movie?

Another old movie that I can actually watch anytime is To Kill a Mockingbird. It's up there at the top of my favorite movies list. Gregory Peck as Atticus? I swoon for him in this show. And Scout, Jem and Boo Radley? It's a veritable list of great pet names. Plus any movie that has someone dressing up as a ham for a play. You know that's gold.

I LOVE Doris Day and I LOVE To Kill a Mockingbird! (The movie, I mean. I don't love to kill mockingbirds.)

And who wouldn't love "Bless her beautiful hide"? ("hyde"?) I'm not up on the correct spelling of old-timey slang.

Just watch out for when you put in "Hello Dolly!" it is so excruciatingly long. Yikes.

7 brides for 7 brothers is a FAVORITE. You should also check out Tammy and the Bachelor and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
I saw Twighlight last night and I'm laughin' cause that pic. with Doris Day looks just like a scene with Bella and Edward. haha
