From the Desk of

ME!

I am officially a working woman!

Today is my second day on the job.  I'm working as a part time receptionist for Close to My Heart.  It's a pretty relaxed job answering phones and transferring calls.  But for someone who has never really done anything like this AND who has been a sahm for 17 years it's still a little daunting.

I need to work on my "phone voice" and getting the right vernacular down. And making sure I transfer the calls to the right person.  Basically I screen phone calls.  Right now I don't feel very professional but I'm sure I will get there.

Hey and guess what? I get to go shopping for new clothes.  That's always a good thing.  (Until I have to look at myself in those dressing room mirrors.)

Another bonus is that I can get on here and blog during the down times.  So you may be seeing more of me!

I know I should really take some time and blog about our trip to California that we took at the first part of this summer so that I have it down somewhere.

Did you know that the trailer we were towing came off of the hitch?

I bet you didn't.  I guess I should put that story out there.

Yayayayayay!!!! How fun! I'm so happy for you! That phone situation is seriously one of the skills I put down on my resume. It's something you've gotta learn! Never thought answering the phone was a skill. Haha!

That's awesome you get to play when it's not busy! What are your hours? And I'm definitely going to need to hear about this trailer sitch!

I am sure there is a good story there behind the trailor coming off the hitch.
Sounds kind of traumatic to me.
It will be fun for you to have a part time job. Put a little cash in your pocket.
You'll do great.......and NOTHING wrong with a new wardrobe.
I am soooo NOT IN LOVE with mine. Each day I go in there, and take out something else to go to the thrift shop,

It'll be bare before long...and SO WILL I , I guess.
