Usually in the garden, but we are getting the bikes out and also the plastic outdoor plates. Summer evenings on the patio are so nice.

That looks awesome! I usually welcome summer by hopping in the car and taking a road trip as soon as school is out. I think we've done that every year so far. :)

We love to kill animals and BBQ them up too!

I usually buy or make a cake and we have a swim party or hit the movies or something fun. Yesterday was our last day and we went to see Night of the Museum after. No cake yet though. Maybe they won't remember that part since I'm dieting.

We celebrate everything around here except school being out because our kids aren't in school yet. I love summer. That's a good question...how will we celebrate it?!

You are too cute! You have inspired me to start a new tradition.....We don't have any for the last day of school but that would be fun.... My niece and her friends all jump in the pool with their school clothes on..... :)

We don't have a last day of school tradition! But we need one now. Yesterday I took the kids to lunch. Maybe that'll be the new thing. Or maybe we'll crash your party.

My husband is a high school teacher ---they still have another week left ----he wants it OVER so bad.

Oh yum. This is making me crave a good BBQ! We are all about BBQs in the summer - and camping!

Love your ways- I second the motions, of course..
but add also
sleeping in
laying out (in spite of being way too old to do so)
buying new books
watching way too much TV

Yummy, yummy summer. I like that. Better than I like being the car for 12 hours with Little Man on our way to a family reunion.

I love smores too and definitely there needs to be a tradition for the beginning of summer. Have a great week.

We do whatever the heck we feel like--and I LOVE IT!

I just bought everything for smores. We love camping in summer. And swimming. If I didn't HATE wearing a swimsuit so much, I'm sure summer would be a lovelier experience for all of us.

Mary said...

I heart smores!!! I like to buy the cookies with the chocolate on one side & use those instead of the graham cracker & chocolate bars...yes, I'm really that cheap :o)

Just checking in to make sure you're doing OK!

I celebrate summer by breaking out the patio furniture, putting up the bird feeders, and uncovering the sand box. Happy happy times!

Oh, and throw some of those smores my way!
