Inquiring Minds Want to Know

How much money do you spend on product for your hair?

And how much money do you spend on your hair in general...you know cuts, colors etc?

I went to the store this morning to get some hairspray. As I was looking at some of the products available I was amazed that some of the products were $16 or $17.

Uh I'm a Suave girl. If it goes above $3 I usually don't buy it.

I buy shampoo and conditioner that together cost 120 bucks... However, they last me one and a half years, and they are SO WORTH IT.

I purchase Nexxus. Shampoo and Conditioner are about $35 for a six week supply.

$90 for cut and color every 6 weeks. I am high maintenance.

Product - I buy Suave for the boys, and more expensive for me. But I try to stock up when they have the buy one get one sales.

I use to work at a hair salon. I loved most of their shampoo and conditioners. Biolage is my favorite...however, we are too poor for such things now so we use whatever middle grade brand is on sale at the grocery store. My scalp and hair beg me for the good stuff. It's actually one of those things I put on my Christmas list. :)

I know it's absolutely ridiculous, but I purchase things based on how they smell. I generally buy cheaper shampoo (like Pantene or Herbal Essences), but I buy expensive styling products (like $20 a bottle and I use 3 different items). And really it's only because they smell so good!

Oh, and I get my haircut every 4 months and spend $35. I have never colored it.

I spend nothing on my hair. My sister-in-law does my hair and we trade cuts and shampoo/conditioner for her daughter's piano lessons:)

Plus, my hair is unapologeticly straight so I never buy anything more than hairspray. It takes me about 2 years to go through one bottle.

I buy more pricey shampoo/conditioner. My hair styles SO much better with it. My flat iron is quite expensive as well.

As far as styling products go, I don't use a lot when my hair is straight, just a bottle of biosilk that lasts me a year. And when I do my hair curly I use super cheap stuff, because I haven't noticed any difference between the cheep and the expensive stuff.

And I used to spend $90 every six weeks for cut and color, but then I stopped coloring my hair, so now I cut it whenever it drives me crazy and it costs me $20 (my s-i-l does my hair).

And now you know way more than you ever wanted to about my hair.

I don't color my hair myself anymore. I have had too many disasters. I usually have Danielle do it every six-eight weeks, and it costs about $80 for cut and color.

I buy cheaper shampoo.

I just bought this root lifter for $15, and I hate it. I need to take it back. It makes my hair crunchy. Not good.

60 bucks for a cut and color. 25 for a haircut. Every 12weeks for color, every 6 for haircut.

I just went to Ulta today and got some Redken Color Extend shampoo. 13.99...regularly 28. Plus all that goop to make my hair spiky. That gets pricey, but I watch for sales at Ulta (in Sandy).

I think the Pert Plus is $3.99 or something.

If it cannot be obtained at Costco, it is not in my house. And that's pretty sad because I can shop the wholesale beauty supply place (my Mom is a hairdresser) but I'm STILL to cheap to buy that stuff, even at wholesale.

$110 for hair every 6 weeks.
Pantene for the kids,
Pureology for myself- a bit of an indulgence, but really good stuff.
Big Fat Hair hair spray, not too expensive, and my hair serum, kinda pricey,,,now, that I think about it, I think I might be spending too much.

My sister cuts my hair for free, and I usually only spend about $10 on shampoo and conditioner every couple of months. That's it.

Yeah, if it's over 3 bucks, I don't buy it (for shampoo and conditioner). I don't use a single product on my hair. I get hair cuts like every six months (which is dumb - it should be every three or four.) I usually go to some cheap-o place for like 15 bucks, but this last time I went to a fancy place for $85 (I had a gift certificate.) And you know what? It was really nice, and I loved my cut waaaaaay better. I think I'm going to go fancy cuts from now on!

Two months of shampoo = $1.68
Two months Spike Glue = $5.00
5-6 week haircut = $9.00 (after tip)

Wow, I spend a fortune on my hair...

I don't spend a lot of money. A close firend does the color and cut every 3 months (I wait as long as possible) and she only charges me $30 but I give her $50. I have some goop that's lasted me over 3 years, still have it and it still works like a champ (I use it on Drake now) and a can of $10 hairspray lasts me about a year. CJ cuts his own hair and he cuts Drake's too... we're cheapo's :)

I normally spend <$8 on shampoo & conditioner, that lasts several months. And, I only get my hair cute about every 6 months and spend about $40.

My husband on the other hand, gets his haircut every 2 weeks, spending about $30 a month!! I can cut a high & tight, but a low fade isn't my specialty.

I spend a lot on things that I can really tell make a difference. Pricey shampoo and conditioner, cheap hair spray, pricey straightener, cheap blow dryer. I used to spend loads on cut and color, but now I can mooch off of family members so it's cheap. Just the cost of supplies.

I get bored of products easily so I am always switching it up. Howver, I don't spend too much, just always on the look out for the latest and greatest!
