Jona's first time skiing

Jona is in a group called Wasatch Adaptive Sports. It's his first year. They take the kids up to Sundance and teach them how to ski. He has been looking forward to this since last Summer when he started in the group.

Turns out? He's a natural. The instructors working with him said that most people don't do as well as Jona did on his first time out. It was so fun to watch him come down that hill. We didn't go this week because of a snow storm but I'm hoping we'll get up there next week on Tuesday. I can't wait to see where he can go with this.

Here is a video of his first time....

I can hear my mom in the background!
It's kind of weird how great it is to hear both of your voices.
Anyway, Jona looks awesome! He did a great frenchfry/pizzapie. :)

He looks great!

I have never been snowboarding or skiing in my life. I hate nature.

Good for him! I don't think I could ski with the poles, they feel like my safety crutch.

That's what I loved about teaching 4th grade...the day the entire grade level would head up to Sundance. It was the only time the whole year I would manage to get a ski day in...

That is awesome. I am NOT a natural, but my husband is. He is praying that at least one of our kids got his genes!

I have spent two-thirds of my life in mountainous, ski-infested states and still haven't been skiing...
But it does look like fun! I'm just a weenie...
