Randomosity

  • I am almost done with the kitchen. I have to repaint some trim around the French Doors and touch up a bad tape job on that high part above the stairs. I also need to get knobs and attach them to the doors and the drawers. Then I can start putting things up on the walls.
  • I am debating whether or not to use "pops" of red throughout the kitchen.
  • The debate above is because I may or may not have fallen in love with this red toaster. (and we do need a new toaster)
  • I have over 500 posts in my reader (and counting). I have no idea when I'll find the time to get to them all.
  • The weather is finally clearing up enough that we can start weeding again. Yippee! (said in my most sarcastic voice) Aren't those weeds aware that I've been busy inside my house? Don't they know they aren't supposed to grow when I can't get out there to pull them? Or just not grow at all. That would be best for all involved.
  • Whoever is hexing me? It's working. The boils on both the upper and lower left cheeks have been lovely. And the one in the middle of my shoulders. Kindly stop.
  • Again with the weather clearing it is now warming and the kids are wanting to go to the pool. The three older ones can go by themselves but I have to go with the youngest.
  • I did get a new swimming suit this year. I'll probably get to give it it's inaugural run today.
  • I wonder if they have Wi-Fi at the Pool?
  • Probably not. So I'll just take the book I'm trying to finish. (that I just started) Jodi Picoult's Handle With Care. A story about a child with Brittle Bone disease or osteogenesis imperfecta and a wrongful birth suit. It's good so far.
  • My dryer is still broken. It wasn't the easy fix I thought it would be. The mountain of laundry that has accumulated is frightening. Because it has been raining here I haven't been able to hang things out.
  • I did five loads yesterday. The last two are still hanging out on the line.
  • I have Young Women's tonight. I'm in charge of the treat. I was going to make a cake but the temps are going to be up and we don't have our swamp cooler in yet. So now I'm not sure. Maybe watermelon.
  • Only one more day 'til the best day of June!

My husband and I never debate about color. He always lets me have my way.

I'm ALWAYS in charge of treats for YW - I think watermelon is a perfect idea! Our girls even liked it when I brought mini carrots and celery with a bottle of ranch dressing! I swear, they'd eat anything!
Good luck with the dryer. And the painting. I love the red toaster, btw.

Which day is the best day of June? I happen to think it is Thursday because it is my birthday. Why is it the best day for you?

Oh do the pops of red! You will love it.

Definitely do pops of red. I will haunt you if you don't. :)

Are pops of red ever a bad idea?! I can't wait to see your kitchen.
So sorry to hear you have boils. OUCH. I had one in March. I thought I was going to die. I can't imagine having 3 at one time.
Hey if watermellon isn't sounding so great and you need a chocolate fix...don't forget you make great no-bake cookies. Fast, easy chocolate!!
Have fun swimming. We have been sidelined from swimming for the last week due to a case of the stomach flu and some...uh...um...as my kids call it "squishy poo-poo." When things have firmed up around here lets get together for a swim.

I love decorating with red. It's fabulous. You should totally go for it.

So happy that your kitchen is almost done. I'm sure it'll be a big relief.

The red toaster is just about as gorgeous as a toaster can get!

For some reason your posts have not been showing up in my feed. :( I need to see if I can fix that... Love that red toaster - I love red in the kitchen. (Mine is painted red. ;))

I vote yes on the pops of red, not only because I also love the toaster, but because red is a happy, empowering color and you need pops of it in your life. Sorry about the weather, we brought the warmer temps with us from Texas though, so you can thank me later. I think watermelon is a great treat, they'll love it...and I need to get in touch with you because I'd like to go to the old ward next week, but I need an extra pair of hands.... :)

I LOVE the red toaster!! I don't know what is with me lately but I like red things. I got my Kodak in red, my DS in red, and IF I get a portable dvd player I want the red one! Blue and Green are my fave colors so I have no idea why!

Be careful with pops of red. I started with a red Kitchenaid, and it snowballed from there. You can't imagine how many really cool red kitchen item there are out there. It's an expensive addiction!
