Welcome Spring

Over at Pedaling Fast and Trying to Keep Up a challenge was issued. To take pictures of Spring and post them on May first.

I'm posting mine but a little late in the day....but better late then never right? I hope you don't mind two picture posts in one day.

By the way you might notice that I'm all about the close up, the macro if you will. This is because I do not have one of those great cameras where I can change the field of depth and so I don't like the way my photos look when it's a wide shot. *sigh*

So...get up close and personal with Spring.

It's Not Easy Finding Green

I know I said I was taking a break but I had to follow through with my photo challenge. Since today is the last day of March I wanted to get this posted. Honestly, I was a SERIOUS slacker on this one. I had a hard time finding green. I had a hard time finding time or even the desire to pick up the camera.

How then did you come up with this mosaic? These are photos from previous years. Only three of these pictures were ones that I actually took for this photo challenge.

Hey, at least I'm honest. Next month though I will do better. Hopefully.

Pink, Pink....it definitely doesn't Stink

The color for my photo challenge this month. Here's one of my favorites so far.

I'm contemplating doing a whole series on my daughter's pink music box with the ballerina in it.

Call me crazy. I won't mind.

Am I Blue?

This month I've taken on a photo challenge issued by Mindi Bartell over at The Simple Life.

My friend sent me the link for Mindi's blog a while back and I've been hooked ever since. I love her photography. Her sense of humor and her sense of style. ( I hope she doesn't that too stalker-ish.)

So when she suggested the photo challenge of a color a month I figured that was something I could do, you know? Color is all around us...everywhere. How hard could it be?

This month's color is Blue. Uh-oh. I don't have very much blue in my house that means I would have to look elsewhere. I was stumped. Until I actually opened my eyes and started looking. Amazing what happens when you do that. I do have blue in my house. Yay! But I'm trying to find blue things elsewhere as well. I'd love to find an amazing blue door on someones house. Wouldn't that be cool?

Anyway here's a couple of the "Blues" that I have found.
