It's horrible. One of the worst feelings ever.
Friday after running a few errands I noticed that the brakes in my Durango felt different. So I get Tyran to come and drive it to make sure it isn't all in my head. It wasn't. We pulled back into the driveway, checked the brake fluid, it was empty. I look at the driveway and noticed spots of liquid where the right back tire had been parked.
So we refilled the brake fluid and drove to the swimming pool. Upon coming back out the Durango I looked at the right back tire and there was a big old puddle of brake fluid...lovely.
Driving it with the brakes as soft as they are has been terrifying.
So this morning I took it into our mechanic. I told him he needs to fix it because this is one of my worst nightmares. And I wasn't joking.
Let's just hope the cost to fix it isn't a nightmare.

Aww man! Car troubles can be the worst. I'm glad that you noticed it before something did go wrong. I've got my fingers crossed for you, in hopes that the repairs go smoothly!
yuck!
for some reason when I would dream about that i was always just rolling through the side streets of PG and not very fast. I was just scared because I would keep turning down street after street but I couldn't ever stop. not my worst nightmare, just annoying.
I hope it isn't a nightmare to fix, either. ugh, cars!
Oh my gosh, I have TOTALLY had that nightmare before!!! I'm always driving the 15 passenger van that my family grew up with, I'm driving and it doesn't stop! Horrifying! Totally, get that car fixed. :)
What a horrible nightmare! Good call on checking the brakes ; )
wow...that would be scary. Maybe you were being prompted in some way.
I often wonder about those things.
never hurts to be very very careful
Yeah, that would be a horrible nightmare. I've had a dream that my gas peddle gets stuck and I can't get it unstuck. It's quite awful.
Wow, scary!
In my dreams, seems like I can run fast enough. Can't in real life, either.
Crud.
Well, I hope your shin-dig was exciting. Sorry I missed it...
SCARY! I would not want to mess with the brakes.
