When I saw the above link on Gurrbonzo's blogI HAD to share it here. Had to.
Make sure to watch the video at the end of the article. (If you think you can stomach it. I didn't think it was all that bad. I mean I watch CSI and get squeamish there but not with this video.)
I love Joel Stein.
Gurrbonzo is one of the Young Women who I had in my group years ago when I was serving in the Young Women presidency. She served a mission, got married, had a baby while going to law school, got banned from parking at BYU, moved across the country, and is now studying for her bar exam. She is also where I got the "discuss" in my Fake Nails? post. She amazes me. And cracks me up. She doesn't post often but when she does it is totally worth it.
The crazy stuff people do. Crazy. And I'm not talking about Gurrbonzo here. I'm talking about The Placenta Lady and her clients.
I'm thankful for a wonderful husband who listens to me.
I'm thankful for Lola who will be taking pictures of me and said hubby tonight...for free! I can hardly wait!
I'm thankful for McKenna. She's gone to a week long camp this week and I'm missing her. She does so much to help out around here. Plus I miss her laugh and her sense of humor. I can't wait for 3 o'clock on Friday.
I'm thankful for a swamp cooler. Especially since it's supposed to head on into the triple digits this weekend.
But I was too old when it came out and I had a family.
But I would have went and tried to get on it just for the experience.
You can check out my mad singing skillz as I karaoke my heart out with my niece Kailee. "Hit me with your best shot!" I'm sure Simon would have had a field day with me and would have "hit me" with his "best shot".
Do you like my hat? We know how to rock the Fourth of July I tell you what!
Peace. Isn't that what we all want? And Jilli is going for double the peace in this picture of her in front of a balloon at the Freedom Festival balloons.
At least I hope that's what she's going for and she's not flashing some sign of a gang that she's secretly joined. It's also about winning the C Jane photography contest so I can go and eat at Roosters. So either the duce peace or the gang sign. Whatever puts me the winners circle!
Had our big family Fourth of July celebration. Sleepover, scavenger hunts, karaoke, early morning sourdough pancake breakfast, flag ceremony, balloon release. (Another first without my dad. It was hard. But still fun.)
A yummy barbecue at my in-laws with homemade cheesecake.
Watched the fireworks with my brother and his family.
And my house has exploded. Again.
Yesterday I went through and edited some of those pictures and put them up on myPhotog Blog. The ones there are my ones that I really loved. I posted more in a facebook album (over a hundred). If you'd like to check them out and aren't my facebook buddy email me.
I'm directing you there today because I need to take care of the explosion in my home.
